The Newsletter is issued eight times a year and we will always respect your email privacy. Serving organic fair trade coffee, tea, fruit teas, cold drinks, delicious cakes, buttered toast (until 11:30) and a great lunch menu (12:00-2:30). In 2014, our Caf was rated as one of the top 25 garden centre cafes in the country, as featured in a Daily Telegraph survey.
Since then, rather than resting on our laurels we have made major changes, adding an extension to increase the number of seats. Customers love this new space with its oak frame, stylish furniture and large windows which frame the view out over the Garden Centre and the city beyond.

Originally founded on co-operative principles, Riverside is run as a social enterprise, engaging with the wider community in Bristol by supporting and initiating projects and working with a number of local charities.

We are proud of our status as Bristol's foremost independent garden centre.
Since our foundation in 1987, we have a proven track record of seeking out and actively supporting independent growers, many in the south west, as well as promoting organic gardening.
Riverside is run as a social enterprise and as such we have a number of aims, the main one being to assist projects which make a real difference to local communities.
These projects may be organised and managed to their completion by a charity, neighbourhood group or similar organisation and naturally we prefer to promote gardening-related schemes by donating plants, trees and compost.
