Services
Our nursery provides both a retail and trade outlet to all discerning gardeners.
Our Drayton Parslow site has improved its display area and we are developing a wider range of services such as general advice, planting ideas, planting plans and design work.
Visitors to the nursery are benefiting from these services as well as taking a leisurely stroll around our eye-catching display areas.
In the winter we close slightly earlier, depending on how dark, cold, and wet it is.
It is a bit difficult when you can't see to do anything and can no longer feel your fingers!
One of ours and our customer's favourite events is our 'Tea & Cakes' day.
Take time to look around the Nursery and enjoy some of the great homemade cakes we have for sale.
We usually have fruit cake, Victoria sponge, Cheesecake and scones but why not try something different like Mincemeat Cake (delicious), Cherry and Marzipan Cake (yummy), or Sticky Gingerbread cake (mouth-watering).
The choice of cakes vary every time so come along to find out what we've got for you to savour.
We like to help every kind of gardener, beginner or advanced, that is why we have carefully put together several informal workshops that tackle different gardening topics tailored to the seasons.
We have a fantastic range of perennials, grasses, shrubs and trees as well as bulbs, seeds and bedding plants on sale.
We can supply or re-plant your hanging baskets to your own specification.
These are the plants that we all know and love, perennials and shrubs from Asters and Aucuba to Veronica and Viburnum.
We have a number of different varieties of campanula, geranium and hemerocallis (day lilies).
We always have them in, although we do occasionally sell out!
Try one of these daringly different varieties, and let others ask what that is in your garden.
According to research, the average household today has 4.2 planters.
And why not?
Container gardening offers more mobility and flexibility than traditional gardening.
It can provide year-round satisfaction as well as the opportunity to bring the outdoors inside.
Our light-weight pots, unlike clay pots which are heavy and can crack, or wood which is susceptible to rot, look like the real thing but are made out of a composite material of 75% clay and 25% recycled plastics or a lightweight polyurethane foam making them easy to manoeuvre and able to withstand year round extremes of temperature.
Every year the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) compile a comprehensive list of plants and nurseries in the UK.
The RHS Plant Finder puts gardeners in touch with plant suppliers.
If you aren't sure of the name of the plant you are looking for, just contact us with the name you know, or a brief description, and - you never know - we may be able to come up with the plant you are after.
AGM = award of garden merit.
This is given, after extensive trials, to plants of outstanding excellence for garden use.
