Welcome to Lempsink Garden Design, Edinburgh based garden design and landscaping studio run by myself, Lisa Lempsink. I offer a comprehensive client service for Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and central Scotland working with a team of craftsmen to deliver what your project requires. I started Lempsink Garden Design back in 2008 with the aim of giving clients individual, finely-tuned, original designs which are practical yet stunning.
I take a friendly, professional, customer-focused approach to all my projects, ensuring that clients really do end up with gardens beyond their expectations. Whether you live in the countryside or the city, want a contemporary or traditional garden, a plantsman's paradise or a low maintenance haven, then you can be assured that I will help you achieve that.
Lisa is weaving her magic into my rather dull and green town garden. Her suggestions are sympathetic to the old stone walls and the layout of a New Town north-facing position, and she understands intuitively not only what to plant where, but equally what kind of garden would appeal to us as a family.

I recently bought a small back garden that needed a rework, and I'm so glad to have found Lisa on the internet.
After surveying the space and listening to my requirements, she came up with a plan which suited my needs (easy to handle and nice to look at).
She contracted Raymond the gardener to remove all the weeds from the long neglected garden, ordered the plants to be delivered, planted the flowers herself, and even taught me the proper ways to plant and take care of them!
What I appreciated the most, however, was that, after she created the plan, I suddenly remembered a plant I really wanted Lavender (Edelweiss).

I started my business after spending 18 years in industry and retraining, qualifying as a Garden Designer from the Scottish Agricultural College in Edinburgh back in 2008.
My design studio is based in central Edinburgh which means I'm easily accessible to clients across the Lothians, Fife, Scottish Borders, Forth Valley, the central belt of Scotland and beyond if required.
My aim is to provide my clients with beautiful, aspirational yet functional, affordable gardens.
Success in doing so is based upon my passion for creating planting and design schemes for a whole range of garden styles and outdoor spaces.

Thanks very much for your interest.
Due to unprecedented demand this year I have decided not to accept any more work at the moment.
As soon as I have the capacity to take on more work, I will remove this message.
I gave Lisa a very awkward brief 2 years ago and she achieved a beautiful garden which I still love and is a pleasure to be in.
I found Lisa extremely helpful and imaginative in her planning.
She was very good too with the project management aspect of transforming my garden with excellent contacts for hard landscaping and lighting.
